End of an Era: Dr. James Larson Retiring from Practice

Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists surgeon, Dr. James Larson will be retiring from practice on June 26, 2017. Sports & Orthopaedic Specialist, part of Allina Health has been fortunate to have Dr. Larson connected with the group for the past 15 years, as he has consistently provided the highest level of patient care and surgery. 

During his 37 years in practice, Dr. Larson performed over 10,000 knee arthroscopy procedures, more than 2,300 total knee replacements, and a virtual infinite number of knee injections in the non-operative care of knee arthritis. 

Dr. Larson has served in many leadership positions including President of the medical staff at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and President of the Minnesota Orthopedic Society. He will continue to remain involved with Allina Health and Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists by continuing in his leadership role as Medical Director of the Orthopedic Service Line. 

We wish Dr. Larson all the best in his "partial" retirement and thank him for his years of practice and countless lives impacted.
