  • Graduate of University of Illinois College of Medicine
  • Orthopedic surgery residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.
  • Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgery fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. 

Career Experience

  • Upon completion of training, Dr. Bellamy entered active duty service in the United States Navy at Naval Medical Center San Diego
    • Served as a staff orthopedic surgeon and served as a team physician for the Naval Special Warfare Center.
    • Completed a combat deployment to the NATO Role 3 Multinational Medical Unit Kandahar Afghanistan providing orthopedic trauma care as part of the multi-specialty surgical team.  
    • Faculty member for the orthopedic surgery residency program and as assistant professor of surgery for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. 
  • Remains active in research and has had projects presented and published at the national and local levels.
