  • Attended college on the Evans caddie scholarship.
  • Spent a semester in Copenhagen, Denmark studying the health care system in Scandinavia.

  • Member of the AOA Honor Society, given to those in the top 5% of the class.
  • Orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Minnesota.
  • Rotations at two level-one trauma centers
  • As a chief resident, he received the Ramon Gustillo Research Award for an outstanding senior project.
  • Adult Reconstruction and Hip Preservation Surgery Fellowship at the University of Utah.
  • Received advanced training in pelvic osteotomies, surgical hip dislocation, and hip arthroscopy.
  • Arthroplasty training included: minimally invasive techniques, such as direct anterior hip replacement surgery and ACL-preserving total knee replacement.

Career Experience

  • Two years in Colorado, where he gained valuable experience while initiating a busy primary and complex revision arthroplasty practice.
  • Built a reputation for excellent patient care as well as recognition from the orthopedic community for his willingness to take on difficult problems.

Patient Care

  • Dr. Anderson's medical philosophy is focused on patient-centered care. He believes that each patient requires a personalized treatment plan, unique to their own goals and expectations.


  • Dr. Anderson and his wife and family are excited to be returning home to Minnesota. They are especially looking forward to their two children growing up in St. Paul.
