Instruction for Limited In-Person Visits at Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists, part of Allina Health During COVID-19 Pandemic

Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists, part of Allina Health has resumed limited in-clinic appointments during the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to protect staff and other patients, we are asking each in-clinic appointment follow these guidelines:

 
  1. Please do not arrive any earlier than 5 minutes prior to appointment time.  If you arrive earlier, staff will ask that you return to your vehicle and wait until your designated appointment time to come back to the clinic.
  2. Current Allina Health policy requires use of a patient mask while in a facility. Please wear a mask to your in-office visit, if you do ot have a mask of your own, we will provide one.
  3. Allina Health has a strict no-visitor policy for in-person appointments. One visitor is permitted to accompany a minor or for patients requiring a personal care attendant for assistance during their appointment.
 
Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists, part of Allina Health remains focused on patient safety. As part of Allina Health, we are adhering to the level of patient safety set by Allina Health to safeguard your health and reduce the spread of COVID-19:
 
  • Expanded our options for virtual care. With everything from primary care to mental health visits, you can get much of the care you need from home.
  • High degree of hospital cleanliness, with the Minnesota Hospital Association recommending our pre-COVID-19 cleaning standards to hospitals throughout the state.
  • Already high standards of clean have been enhanced throughout our facilities, with deep cleaning and disinfection of high-touch surfaces and public spaces.
  • All patients and visitors are screened before entering our facilities. Anyone who may have symptoms of COVID-19 is taken to a separate area.
  • Hand sanitizer is located all building entrances to encourage hand hygiene for all staff, patients and visitors.
  • We practice physical distancing in all of our lobbies, and we have added Plexiglas shields between check in staff and patients.
  • Everyone wears a mask. Patients and visitors are encouraged to bring a mask, or they receive cloth masks. Staff who have direct contact with patients wear a mask and a face shield.
