Mark A. Heller, M.D.Dr. Heller is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has made patient care the focus of his medical career. He specializes in total joint replacement of the hip and knee. Dr. Heller utilizes minimally invasive techniques in his total joint replacement procedures and contributes to ongoing research involving the latest advances in technology.

Dr. Heller earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and performed his orthopedic residency at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. He has stayed active in academics since starting his practice, holding roles as a Clinical Teaching Appointment for the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Training Program Coordinator for Smiley’s Point Family Practice.

Heller is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Minnesota Medical Association, previously served as the Chief of the Department of Orthopaedics at Fairview Riverside Hospital, and is a past president of the Twin Cities Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Heller is a frequent selection for the Mpls/St. Paul magazine Top Doctor award in the orthopedic surgeon category. (2006, 2008 – 2011, 2013 – 2015).

When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Heller enjoys staying active with golf, tennis, and general fitness activities.
